My mother-in-law prepared this dish after my wedding. It was extremely tasty that I couldn't bear not to ask how to make it. I ended up with this exceptional recipe. Ingredients
- 1/4 c. oil
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 tsp. cumin seeds
- 5 cloves
- 2 black cardamoms
- 10 peppercorns
- 1 tbsp. ginger & garlic paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. MSG
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 kg. beef, mutton or chicken
- 1 c. water
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped
Directions
- Brown onions in hot oil.
- Add cumin, cloves, cardamoms and peppercorns. Stir fry for 1 minute.
- Add ginger and garlic. Saute for 1 minute. Season with salt, MSG and chili powder.
- Mix meat, water, tomatoes and onions. Cover and pressure cook for 30 minutes or until meat is tender and sauce thickens.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
