Spicy String Beans with Coco Milk
My Grandma used to make this but I did it with a twist of heat. I like spicy foods! Ingredients
- 250 g string beans(sitaw), cut into 2 inches
- 100 g pork belly, cut into bite size
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 gloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger thinly sliced
- 1 tsp red chilies, sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a saucepan, cook pork meat until color turns to light brown and start to render oil.
- Saute garlic, onion and ginger until translucent.
- Add shrimp paste and continue sauteing until it’s cooked.
- Pour coconut milk then bring to boil. Add water if necessary.
- Season with salt and pepper according to taste then add chili and string beans.
- Cook for 3 minutes or until tender then transfer to serving plate and serve immediately.
