Southern Blackberry Cobbler
Deliciously simple. Ingredients
- 5 c. fresh blackberries
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. butter
- pre-made 9 inch pie crust
- 1 tbsp. lowfat milk
- 1 tbsp. sugar
Directions
- Place blackberries in a 9 inch square baking dish.
- Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt, mixing well.
- Sprinkle over blackberries.
- Dot with butter.
- Roll pastry out on a lightly floured surface to a 9 inch square.
- Place pastry on top of blackberries; trim edges and seal.
- Make several slits in top to allow steam to escape.
- Brush pastry with lowfat milk; sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 30 min.
