Blackberry Cobbler

- 6 c. fresh blackberries or possibly a mix of seasonal berries
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp baking pwdr
- 4 Tbsp. butter cut in small pcs and chilled
- 1/2 c. cream plus extra to brush top
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place berries in a 2-qt oven-proof dish. Mix sugar and flour together and sprinkle over berries. Gently stir to coat berries.
- To make topping: stir together flour and baking pwdr in medium bowl. With fingers, rub in butter till flour mix has consistency of cornmeal. Pour cream into large bowl. Sprinkle flour mix over cream. Stir with fork till soft dough forms. Turn dough out onto floured board and knead several times before rolling out to create 9 inch circle. Place dough on top of berries, brush with cream and sprinkle with a little granulated sugar. Bake 20-30 min or possibly till crust is golden.
