Sour milk and feta cheese phyllo pie
Easy, fluffy and satisfying. Ideal for any kind of picnics. Ingredients
- 400ml sour milk,
- 200ml natural yoghurt
- 200ml sunflower oil
- 5 eggs
- 1 packet baking powder
- 500g phyllo dough, sheets for pies and strudels
- 100 g feta cheese
Directions
- Mix and combine, until smooth, sour milk, yogurt, oil, eggs and baking powder.
- Spoon and set aside 8 tablespoons of the mixture.
- Set aside 4 sheets of phyllo dough, and tear the remaining sheets into small pieces. Stir them gently into the sour milk filling.
- Add and combine crumbled feta cheese.
- Place 2 pastry sheets on the bottom of the oiled baking pan. Cover with evenly distributed sour milk filling, cover with 2 remaining pastry sheets.
- Spread 8 tablespoons of the sour milk, yogurt, oil, eggs and baking powder mixture over the top sheet.
- Bake at 200⁰C for about 30 minutes or until done and golden in colour.
- Allow to cool slightly, cut and serve.
