Sour Cream Banana Bread
This is a quick and good banana bread recipe. The sour cream keeps it extra moist. Ingredients
- 1/2 c margarine
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed well
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and baking soda and set aside.
- Cream together margarine and sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add bananas and mix well.
- Add vanilla and sour cream and mix well again.
- Stir in the flour mixture and the nuts.
- Pour into a greased 5"x9" loaf pan.
- Bake for 1 hour (or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean).
