    Six Pears and an Apple Pie!!!

    Ingredients

    • Filling:
    • 6 pears – peeled and sliced
    • 1 apple – peeled and sliced
    • ½ cup sugar
    • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger – grated
    • ½ cup flour
    • Zest of ½ lemon
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • Graham Cracker Crust:
    • 8-10 sleeves of graham crackers
    • 5 tablespoons butter
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    • Topping:
    • ½ cup flour
    • 6 tablespoons butter
    • 4 tablespoons brown sugar

    Directions

    1. Preheat Oven 350 degrees:
    2. In a food processor place the graham crackers, butter and brown sugar. Process until the butter is combined and then press into a pie plate.
    3. Place the pie crust in the oven for 10-15 minutes, then remove and let cool.
    4. Combine all of the ingredients for the filling in a bowl. Place the filling in the pie crust.
    5. For the topping combine the flour, butter and brown sugar in a bowl and crumble this with your fingers, until it is in little bits. Place this mixture on top of the pie.
    6. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
    7. Top the pie with fresh whip cream.
