  • Singapore Rice Sticks

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 lb Rice sticks, soaked in warm water about 5 min
    • 1/2 c. Pork, slivered, mixed with
    • 1 tsp Cornstarch
    • 1/2 c. Shrimp slivered, mixed with
    • 1 tsp Cornstarch
    • 1/2 lb Bean sprouts
    • 2 x Red warm* peppers slivered, ( do not remember using warm ones)
    • 1 x Egg, slightly beaten
    • 1 tsp Wine
    • 1 tsp Curry pwdr
    • 1 Tbsp. Soy sauce
    • 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 1/4 tsp Sugar

    Directions

    1. Pan fry egg into thin sheet and cut into thin strips In a frying pan, stir fry bean sprouts for 1 minute and remove In the same pan, bring 1 c. water to a boil. Add in rice sticks . Cover pan for 1 minute. Remove lid and cook 1 more minute. (do not let these get too sticky) Over high heat, stir fry pork and shrimp. When done, sizzle in the wine. Stir in bean sprouts, egg, peppers and rice sticks. Add in sauce mix and mix well.
    2. My note: Think I have another recipe somewhere which I have tried and liked.
    3. Do not think you need a lot of red pepper in this...just judge it. Two red peppers would be overwhelming.
