    • few Saffron Strands (mixed with 2 tsp warm milk)
    • few Almonds (chopped)
    • few Pistachios (chopped)

A classic curd based dessert with saffron, cardamom and nuts, it comes in numerous, regional variations, most notably, Mango and Kesar varieties. Popular in Gujarat and Maharashtra, it is a common sweet made during Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi. Also called as Matho, it is best served chilled and is a def. hit with adults and kids alike. NotesFor Mango Shrikhand, peel the skin of 1 ripe mango, puree the flesh and add to the mixture at step #2. You can also garnish with chopped mangoes.
