    A wonderful variety for picnics and breakfast. the sweet chocolate flavor makes this scone mouthwatering and will go down well with pineapple juice or warm milk. You can add dates or raisins.

    Ingredients

    • all purpose flour (500g)
    • sweetened coco powder (1.5 tablespoons)
    • unsalted margarine (100g)
    • a pinch of salt
    • baking powder (1 tablespoon)
    • baking soda (1teaspoon)
    • water (350ml)

    Directions

    1. preheat your oven to a moderate temperature
    2. seive the flour into a bowl
    3. add the dry ingredients
    4. add the margrine and rub it in till the mixture is crumby
    5. make a well in the middle and add the water
    6. mix in gently then turn mixture onto a clean surface and knead for 10secs till smooth.
    7. cut into 10 pieces and place on a flat baking sheet then bake for 35mins or until brown.
