Sauerkraut And Pork Chop
Ingredients
- 4 loin pork chops, 1 pound
- 2 c. sauerkraut, liquid removed
- 1 sm. apple, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon caraway seed; optional
Directions
- Brown pork chops in skillet. Mix sauerkraut with meat juice in skillet. Layer half of sauerkraut, half of apple sliced and half of caraway seed in casserole.
- Arrange pork chops over top of mix. Layer remaining sauerkraut, apple, and caraway seed. Cover and bake at 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till pork is tender.
- 4 servings = 2 lean meat, 1 vegetable, 1/2 fruit, 151 calories.
