Fresh and delicious. Gives any salad an elegant flavor. This recipe was 'captured' from an Austrian family as it was being made. It has been orally passed down for generations. You will not find it in a cookbook:)

    Ingredients

    • 1/8 litter Herbs – or AppleVinegar
    • 1/4 litter Water
    • 1/2 litter Oil
    • 1 heaping serving spoon Aromat
    • 1 heaping Tbsp Mild Mustard (Thomy Moutarde mi-forte
    • Senape semiforte or Dijón)
    • Some Pepper – white – about 5 turns
    • 1 knife point Salt – 1 tsp
    • 1 teaspoon Salad Hebs mix or garlic – Optional
    • 2 Garlic cloves
    • 1 very small Onion
    • 1 heaping teaspoon Sugar
    • some Worcerstershire Sauce
    • some Soy Sauce

    Directions

    1. In electronic mixer put vinegar and Garlic and mix on high. Then add water plus and the rest of the ingredients (spices) and again mix for 3 minutes.
    2. Now, with very slow speed, add the oil in.
    3. Add a little bit of soy sauce and worcestershire.
    4. Keeps 14 days in refrigerator.

      John,
Good point. Aromat is available online. and yes. . . garlic toe is the same as garlic clove. This is what they call them in Austria:)
I will attempt to modify the recipe to say garlic clove.

Looks great, Rocio! Couple of quick questions. Is Aromat widely available? Is a Garlic toe the same as a Garlic clove? Thanks!
