  • Rum Raisin Baked Apples

    Ingredients

    • 4 medium sized baking apples
    • 1/4 cup raisins
    • 1 1/2 Tbsp Spiced Rum
    • 1/3 cup brown sugar
    • 1/8 tsp. Nutmeg
    • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
    • 2 Tbsp Butter
    • 1 tsp. Orange Juice (optional)
    • 2 tsp. Grand Marnier (optional)

    Directions

    1. Soak raisins in rum for at least one hour
    2. core apples
    3. preheat oven to 350 degrees
    4. combine raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange juice
    5. fill apples with mixture and top each with 1/2 tbsp butter
    6. after placing apples onto a baking dish drizzle 1/2 tsp of Grand Marnier over each apple
    7. add 1/4 cup water to the bottom of the baking dish
    8. cover apples with foil paper
    9. bake for 50-60 minutes
