Rum Raisin Baked Apples
Ingredients
- 4 medium sized baking apples
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Spiced Rum
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp. Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp. Orange Juice (optional)
- 2 tsp. Grand Marnier (optional)
Directions
- Soak raisins in rum for at least one hour
- core apples
- preheat oven to 350 degrees
- combine raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange juice
- fill apples with mixture and top each with 1/2 tbsp butter
- after placing apples onto a baking dish drizzle 1/2 tsp of Grand Marnier over each apple
- add 1/4 cup water to the bottom of the baking dish
- cover apples with foil paper
- bake for 50-60 minutes
