Red Velvet Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. plain flour
- 7 egg
- 1 1/2 ounce red food coloring
- 7 ounce sweet lowfat milk
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- Little butter flavoring
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounce pkg. cream cheese
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Directions
- Cream Crisco and sugar. Add in large eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients and add in with lowfat milk. Add in flavorings and coloring. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hrs.
- Cream cheese and butter. Add in sugar and then vanilla. Cream till smooth. Add in nuts.
