  • Puerco Asado ( Roasted Pork)

    This recipe comes down from my great grandmother down the line to me..I remember when they cooked this for the night before Christmas and New Years Eve...

    Ingredients

    • 4 pounds picnic pork leg
    • 1 whole meduim yellow onion cut into four
    • 1 head of garlic
    • 1 tbs of oregano
    • 1 tsp of cumin
    • 1 pkg of Sazon Goya (without asafran)
    • Juice of 3 sour oranges
    • Juice of 3 limes
    • 1/3 cup of olive oil
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Directions

    1. In a food chopper or Osterizer put in onion, garlic, oregano cumin, Sazon Goya, the sour oranges juice and the juice of the limes chop it all up then add olive oil season with salt and pepper to your taste..
    2. Then put this mixer on your pork messaging it then let it sit in this marinade over night.
    3. The next day put in another pan and disregard the marinade put in oven at 350 not covered for three hour every now and then checking and getting the juice that it releases to baste the pork..
    4. When its done..take it out and let it sit for about 15 mins.
    5. Slice place in a plate with the juice that it relelases..
