Pickled Beets (Amish Recipe)
Deliciously tart! Ingredients
- 3 quarts. sm. beets
- 3 c. vinegar
- 2 tbsp. salt
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 cinnamon sticks (optional)
Directions
- Cook the beets as desired.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients and boil them to a syrup.
- Pour the boiling syrup over the beets in warm jars, then seal them. Cool pack them for 10-15 min.
