    Petai with dried prawns, red chillies and uplifted with lime juice and palm sugar.

    Ingredients

    • 250g of petai (sliced)
    • 200g of dried prawns (soaked and pounded roughly)
    • 1-2 tbsp dried chilli paste
    • 1 medium onion (chopped/sliced)
    • 5 pips garlic (chopped)
    • 1/2 lime (squeeze out the juice)
    • A piece palm sugar.
    • 3 tbsp oil
    • Salt for taste

    Directions

    1. Dry fry dried prawns till crunchy and light brown in colour.
    2. Heat oil and when heated, saute onion and garlic; after which add chilli paste.
    3. Stir and cook till oil splits.
    4. Add sugar, salt and lime juice.
    5. Put in prawns and petai. Stir to coat over sambal/gravy.
    6. Remove from heat.
