  • Peppermint Patty Brownies

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 c. butter, melted
    • 3 c. sugar
    • 1 tbsp. vanilla
    • 5 Large eggs
    • 2 c. flour
    • 1 c. cocoa
    • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 24 sm. peppermint patties

    Directions

    1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. In large bowl stir together butter, sugar and vanilla. Add in Large eggs, stir till well-blended. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking pwdr and salt; blend well. Reserve 2 c. batter; set aside.
    2. Spread remaining batter in prepared pan. Arrange peppermint patties in single layer over batter, about 1/2 inch apart. Spread reserved 2 c. batter over patties. Bake 50 to 55 min or possibly till brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cold completely in pan on wire rack, cut into squares. Makes about 36 brownies.
