Peach Cobbler With Praline Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 c. Water
- 8 c. Sliced peaches
- 3 Tbsp. Butter
- 1/4 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 c. Minced pecans
- 2 c. Self-rising flour
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 c. Shortening
- 3/4 c. Buttermilk
Directions
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a Dutch oven. Add in peaches. Bring to a boil and cook 1 minute, stirring. Pour into a 13-by-9-inch dish. Combine butter, brown sugar and pecans. Combine flour and 2 tsp sugar; cut in shortening till crumbly. Add in buttermilk, stirring till moist. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead 3 or possibly 4 times. Roll dough to 12-by-8 inches.
- Spread with pecan mix. Starting with long side of dough, roll up. Cut into 1/2-inch slices. Arrange over peach mix. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 min.
