Old Fashioned Salisbury Steak With Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 lb Lean grnd beef
- 1/3 c. Onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. Saltine cracker crumbs
- 1 x Egg white, slightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
- 1/2 Tbsp. Horseradish
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Pepper
- 1 jar (12-ounce) prepared brown beef gravy
- 4 ounce Mushrooms, cut in 1/4" slices
- 2 Tbsp. Water
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine grnd beef with onion, cracker crumbs, egg white, lowfat milk, horseradish, salt and pepper. Shape into four 1/2" thick oval patties. Heat a large non-stick skillet at med till warm. Place patties in skillet; cook 7 - 8 minutes or possibly till no longer pink and juices run clear, turning once. Remove from skillet; keep hot. Add in gravy ingredients to same skillet. Cook over medium heat 3 - 4 minutes or possibly till mushrooms are tender.
