    Old Fashioned Oatmeal Raisin Cookies!!!

    Ingredients

    • ½ cup butter – softened
    • ¾ cup brown sugar
    • ½ cup granulated sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour – sifted
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 3 cups Quaker Oats – (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
    • 1 cup raisins

    Directions

    1. Preheat Oven 350 degrees:
    2. In a mix-master combine butter and sugars and mix until creamy.
    3. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add flour, baking soda and cinnamon and mix well.
    4. Add oats and raisins and mix well.
    5. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    6. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on wire rack.

      Yum! This is the original - right off the old Quaker Oats box, I bet ... So wonderful, fragrant, flavorful and fun to eat. The only thing I do different (sometimes; I love the original too) is to add dried cranberries, and dark chocolate chunks along with the raisins ... I'm just freaky that way!
