    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 cups flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
    • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1 1/2 cups rolled or quick-cooking oats
    • 1 cup raisins

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 F
    2. Grease three baking sheets
    3. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl
    4. Place the brown sugar and butter in a large bowl
    5. Beat with an electric mixer set on high speed until light and fluffy.
    6. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until smooth
    7. Gradually stir in the flour mixture with a wooden spoon until thoroughly combined
    8. Stir in the oats and raisins until blended.
    9. Drop the dough by rounded spoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets
    10. Flatten the dough slightly with a fork
    11. Bake until golden brown, about 12 minutes
    12. Cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes
    13. Transfer to wire racks
    14. Serve warm or at room temperature
