Norwegian Rye Bread
Ingredients
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/3 c. molasses
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- (you can halve this amount with good results)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp caraway seed
- 1/4 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 1/3 c. rye flour
- 1 1/4 c. bread flour
- 1 1/2 tsp yeast
Directions
- I have made this bread no less than a gazillion times and it is absolutely perfect. I think the molasses is what gives it the good flavor. [Jessica]
- Process according to bread maker's directions.
