Mother Eifert's Cole Slaw
Ingredients
- 6 c. finely minced cabbage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. ice water & cubes
Directions
- Soak cabbage in salted ice water overnight. Bring sugar, vinegar and water to boil, remove from stove and let cold. Drain cabbage well and add in dressing. Chill. For variety add in any or possibly all: 1/2 c. green peppers, 1 c. celery slices, 1/2 c. grated carrots.
