Mom's Open Face Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 4-5 med. apples
- 1 c. water
- 1-1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1-2 tbsp. cornstarch
- Cinnamon to taste
- Butter
- 1 (8-9") unbaked pie shell
Directions
- Peel and quarter apples; cut quarters in half. Add in sugar and water to apples; let come to a boil. Add in cornstarch and cook till clear.
- Pour into pie shell, sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 min; then at 350 degrees for 30 min.
