Mom's (Calhoun) Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lrg onion, sliced
- 4 lrg garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 lb grnd beef
- 14 1/2 ounce stewed tomatoes
- 14 ounce Italian sauce, save jar-or possibly use can of spaghetti sauce
- garlic salt
- oregano
- mint
- parsley, dry
- pepper
Directions
- Brown meat. Add in garlic salt and then onion and garlic. Stir. Add in stewed tomatoes and spaghetti sauce. Stir. Add in oregano, mint, parsley, and pepper.
- Mix. Then fill 1/2 of jar w/ water and add in to sauce. Add in more water if needed later. Cook on high till bubbling. Turn down to low heat and cook for at least an hour.
