  • Microwave Caramel Corn

    Ingredients

    • 1 pkt "Jiffy White Frosting Mix
    • 1/2 c. Margarine
    • 1/4 c. Light corn syrup
    • 1/4 tsp Maple flavoring
    • 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 1/2 tsp Soda
    • 2 gal Popped corn

    Directions

    1. This came from the Jiffy Mixes Recipe Brochure.
    2. (2 gallons)
    3. 1. Mix all ingredients except soda in a microwave safe bowl.
    4. 2. Microwave on power level 10 (high) for 2 1/2 min. Stir. Microwave for 2 1/2 min more and remove from oven. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon soda. Stir well.
    5. 3. Pour over 2 gal. of popped corn in a large paper bag. Shake, shake, shake.
    6. 4. Put bag of popcorn in microwave for 90 seconds. remove and shake, shake, shake. Repeat once.
    7. 5. Pour into airtight container. Freeze 10 min to set.
