Microwave Beer Bread
Ingredients
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 12 ounce beer (can be light beer)
- 1 Tbsp. softened butter cornflake crumbs
Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Spray a glass loaf pan with cooking spray or possibly wipe with butter. Sprinkle bottom and sides with crumbs.
- Pour batter into pan and top with butter and a light sprinkling of corn flake crumbs
- Microwave at medium for 9 min, then on high for 2 min. Remove from pan and let cold slightly.
- Note: this recipe is over a decade old so the timing would be based on older, lower wattage microwaves than most people use today. Experimentation will be needed for the correct setting if you have a spanking new microwave.
