  • Mennonite Easy No-Knead Whole Wheatbread

    Ingredients

    • 3 c. whole wheat flour
    • 1/2 c. sugar
    • 2 T salt
    • 3 pkg. dry yeast
    • 2 c. water
    • 2 c. lowfat milk
    • 1/2 c. oil
    • 2 large eggs
    • 5-6 c. white flour

    Directions

    1. Put together whole wheat flour, sugar, salt and yeast in large mixer bowl. Heat water, lowfat milk and oil in saucepan till very warm (120-130 degrees). Add in the warmed liquids and 2 large eggs to the dry ingredients. Blend at low speed till moistened. Beat 3 min at medium speed. Stir in by hand the 5-6 cups white flour. Use sufficient flour to create a stiff batter. Cover and let rise till double. Stir down and spoon into 2 greased 9 x 5 inch bread pans. Let rise 20-30 min. Bake 35-40 min in preheated 375 degree oven.
