Marinated Beef Short Ribs
Ingredients
- 3 3/4 lb Beef short ribs cut in 1/2 Inch slices Salt, pepper
- 1/8 c. Water
- 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Crushed red pepper
- 1/4 c. Hoisin sauce
- 3 Tbsp. Plum sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Oyster sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Peanut oil
- 1 Tbsp. Sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp. Honey
- 1 Tbsp. Chili paste
- 1 Tbsp. Pureed garlic
- 1 Tbsp. Ginger -- grated
- 1 bn Cilantro -- roughly minced
- 1 bn Green onions
Directions
- Season ribs to tastewith salt and pepper. Place on rack in roasting pan and bake at 350x for 1 hour.
- Combine water, lemon juice and crushed warm pepper inj a small bowl. Brush over top side of ribs and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Turn, brush again and bake 10 minutes. longer. let cold.
- Combine hoisin, plum, oyster, soy sauces with peanut oil, sesame oil chili paste, garlic, ginger, cilantro and green onions in a large bowl. Add in roasted ribs and toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and chill at least 4 hrs or possibly upto 24 hrs.
- Grill or possibly place under broiler 2 minutes. per side and serve immediately with spicy cool soba noodles and minced tofu with parsly if you like.
