A light version of a very traditional Russian dish.

    • 1 big green cabbage
    • 1-2 carrots
    • 1/2 cup of cooked rice
    • pack of ground turkey
    • 1 pack of sour cream
    • bouillon cube

    1. Cook rice.
    2. Separate 8 big leaf from the cabbage.
    3. Cut the cabbage stalk from all leaves.
    4. In a big pot boil water and put every leaf separately there for 2 minutes.
    5. Grate the carrot.
    6. Mix turkey with carrot, rice and spices.
    7. Separate the mix into 8 potion.
    8. Put 1 portion of mix in the middle of cabbage leaf and make an envelope.
    9. Put 8 "Golubcy" in a big pot and cover them with water.
    10. Cook slowly for 30 minutes, then add 1/2 pack of sour cream and bouillon cube and cook 20 more minutes.
    11. Serve with sour cream.

Tried this the other night. It's different from anything I've had before. It's like something delicious you might try at Dim Sum, but with western flavors (sour cream) instead of soy. This is definitely worth trying if you've never had it!

Its good, we make in Poland the same way, but with pork mince and rice and spices (ground pepper and salt) usually not with carrot, and not white sauce but tomato sauce I have to try golubcy ( golabki ) with tourkey :)
