Lamb Loin Chops With Turkish Yogurt Sauce
Ingredients
- 8 ounce Plain yogurt
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Allspice
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 2 cl Garlic, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. Fresh mint, minced
- 1 tsp Lemon peel, grated
- 1 tsp Honey
- 8 x Lamb loin chops, 1 1/4-inch . thick, about 5z each
Directions
- In a bowl stir together yogurt, cinnamon, allspice, salt and cayenne. Add in garlic, mint, lemon peel and honey and blend well. Cover and refrigerate2 to 24 hrs.
- Trim lamb chops. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat 5 to 6 min on each side, to medium doneness. Pour yogurt sauce proportionately over all.
