Lamb chops on Phyllo
Preparation time: 20 min Cooking time: 20 min Preheat oven to 220 %C Ingredients
- 6 Thick loin lamb chops
- 30ml (2Tbsp) sunflower oil
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 6 squares of Feta cheese (about 100gm)
- 5ml (1tsp) dried Origanum
- 6 sheets of phyllo pastry
- 60mls(1/4 cup) melted butter
Directions
- Trim all the fat from the chops
- Brown the chops on both sides in the hot oil and season
- Slit each chop across and push in a square of feta cheese
- Sprinkle with Origanum
- Brush each phyllo pastry sheet with melted butter and wrap around a chop
- Brush with more butter and bake for 15- 20 minutes or until crisp and golden.
