This is an easy economical recipe that can be adapted to your favorite meat and herb.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound ground beef (you may use 1/2 pork, veal or turkey)
    • 2 cups fresh bread crumbs
    • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
    • 2 large cloves garlic, chopped very fine
    • 1 large onion, chopped fine
    • 1 egg
    • 1 package dry Good Seasons Zesty Italian Dressing
    • 2 T canola oil for frying

    Directions

    1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except oil with your hands.
    2. Do not over-mix or your meatballs will be tough.
    3. Roll mixture into 24 meatballs.
    4. Saute in canola oil until just brown.
    5. Place the meatballs on a lined cookie sheet.
    6. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes until cooked through.
    7. Remove from oven to paper towels to absorb and fat.
    8. Re-warm meatballs in your choice of marinara sauce and serve over your favorite pasta.
