Hot German Style Scalloped Potatoes
Ingredients
- 6 ounce bacon - (to 8 ounce) cut up
- 1 pkt Scalloped Potatoes - (7 to 8 ounce)
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup - reduced fat
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. reserved bacon drippings
Directions
- Fry bacon till crisp; reserve drippings. Drain bacon on paper towels and set aside.
- Combine contents of Scalloped Potatoes package and seasoning mix with celery seed, pepper, and sugar in the crockpot.
- Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl and stir into the potato mix. Mix bacon in. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hrs, till potatoes are tender.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
