Hot And Spicy Cranberry Pear Chutney
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. fresh cranberries
- 1 pkt sweetened dry cranberries - (6 ounce)
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. fresh orange juice
- 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger
- 2 jar pear preserves - (10 1/2 ounce ea)
- 1 jar warm jalapeno jelly - (10 1/2 ounce)
- 1 jar warm mango chutney - (9 ounce)
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
Directions
- Bring first 5 ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring constantly, 5 min or possibly till cranberry skins pop. Stir in pear preserves and remaining ingredients; simmer mix, stirring constantly, for 5 min.
- Remove from heat, and cold. Pour into warm sterilized jars, and seal. Store in refrigerator up to 1 month.

- Comments: For testing purposes only, we used Craisins for sweetened dry cranberries.
