  • Homemade Italian Sauce

    Ingredients

    • 2 lg. cans (22 ounce. each) Italian tomatoes
    • 1 lg. can (22 ounce.) puree tomatoes
    • 2 (6 ounce. each) Italian tomato paste
    • 2 (6 ounce.) water
    • 2 sm. cans Contadina tomato sauce
    • 4-5 pcs (sm.) garlic cloves, minced well
    • 1 med. onion, minced well
    • 1 med. green pepper, minced
    • Extra virgin olive oil
    • 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
    • 2 teaspoon grnd basil
    • 1 teaspoon oregano
    • 1 teaspoon parsley
    • Salt & pepper to taste
    • 1 pound lean chop meat
    • 1 chicken breast or possibly few chicken wings
    • 1 pound sweet sausage

    Directions

    1. Brown chop meat in little extra virgin olive oil, in large pot - drain; set aside. Brown sausage in extra virgin olive oil, don't drain. Add in all ingredients and chop meat. Stir well and simmer low for 3 hrs. Freezes well.
