Guisado
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. sirloin or possibly roast
- Salt and pepper
- Flour
- 1/2 or possibly 1 sm. green pepper, minced
- 1/2 c. onion
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 can tomato sauce
- Tortillas
Directions
- Saute/fry onion and peppers in oil. Cut steak into small to medium cubes and coat with flour, salt and pepper. Add in steak to onions and brown. Add in tomato sauce and cumin to mix with about 1 c. of water. Simmer for 1 1/2 hrs, adding water as necessary. (Meat should be covered, and water form a gravy consistency.) Add in more flour if it looks thin. Serve with tortillas.
