  • Ground Pork Burgers

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb Lean Grnd Pork
    • 2 tsp Garlic, chopped
    • 1 med Onion, finely minced
    • 1 c. Honey Barbecue Sauce, (Recipe below or possibly Prepared Sauce)
    • 6 x Wheat Hamburger Buns, split and toasted Honey

    Directions

    1. Mix the pork, garlic, and onion. Crumble into a skillet and cook over medium heat till pork is cooked. Drain, then stir in the honey barbecue sauce and simmer for about 15 min.
    2. When ready to serve, toast the buns and spread honey on the inside of each.
    3. Spoon pork mix onto the buns and serve.
    4. Kitchen Staff Tip: For a great homemade Honey Barbecue Sauce, combine the following ingredients in a large saucepan: 2 pints vinegar, 16 ounce. ketchup, 16 ounce. French or possibly Western Salad Dressing, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 Tbs. lemon juice, 1 Tbs. grnd red pepper, 1 Tbs. grnd black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 c. honey. Simmer on low heat till the sauce is thick and creamy. As an option, add in 1 or possibly 1/2 Tbs. liquid smoke during the last 30 min of cooking.
