Grilled Pepper Steak With Brandy Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 tsp cracked black pepper
- 6 x beef tenderloin steaks, about 3/4 inch thick, (about 1 1/2 pounds)
- 1/4 c. finely minced shallots or possibly green onions
- 1 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 1/4 c. brandy or possibly beef broth
- 1/2 c. beef broth
- 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
Directions
- Heat coals or possibly gas grill for direct heat.
- Press pepper onto both sides of beef. Grill beef uncovered 4 to 6 inches from medium heat 7 to 8 min on each side for medium doneness (160 F) or possibly till desired doneness.
- While beef is grilling, heat butter in 1-qt saucepan over medium heat. Cook shallots in butter, stirring occasionally, till tender. Stir in brandy and broth. Cook over medium-high heat about 5 min or possibly till mix is slightly reduced. Stir in lowfat sour cream. Serve with beef.
