  • Granola Mint Bread

    Ingredients

    • 1 c. Whole wheat flour
    • 1 c. Bread flour
    • 1/2 c. Granola cereal
    • 1/4 c. Cooked brown rice
    • 1 tsp Salt
    • 1 c. Water
    • 2 Tbsp. Canola, safflower, or possibly sunflower oil
    • 1 Tbsp. Honey
    • 1/2 tsp Mint extract
    • 1 pkt Active dry yeast
    • 1 1/4 c. Whole wheat flour
    • 1 1/4 c. Bread flour
    • 2/3 c. Granola cereal
    • 1/2 c. Cooked brown rice
    • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 1 1/4 c. Water
    • 3 Tbsp. Canola, safflower, or possibly sunflower oil
    • 2 Tbsp. Honey
    • 3/4 tsp Mint extract
    • 4 tsp Active dry yeast

    Directions

    1. The granola gives this bread an interesting texture, while the mint extract imparts an intriguing flavor.
    2. Carefully measure the flours, granola, rice, and salt, and transfer to the pan. Add in the liquid ingredients and the yeast.
    3. Program the breadmaker for the whole wheat mode.
