gingered carrots
I use either bagged baby carrots or carrot chips for a quick sidedish. Ingredients
- 1lb baby carrots
- 1/3c brown sugar
- 2tbsp butter
- 1/4tsp ground ginger
- 3/4c water
Directions
- place all ingredients in heavy saucepan
- bring to boil
- cover and reduce heat to simmer
- simmer 15 to 20 minutes until carrots are cooked through
- allow syrup to thicken and coat carrots and serve
