  • Ginger Slaw With Veggie Potstickers

    Ingredients

    • 1/4 c. hoisin sauce
    • 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
    • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
    • 1 can mandarin oranges in light syrup - (11 ounce) liquid removed
    • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh ginger
    • 2 x garlic cloves pressed
    • 1 sm head green cabbage - (abt 1 lb) shredded, rinsed, and liquid removed (yield 4 c.)
    • 1 bag shredded broccoli slaw - (16 ounce)
    • 4 x scallions, white and light green parts thinly sliced
    • 20 x frzn vegetable potstickers cooked according to directions

    Directions

    1. In blender or possibly food processor, combine hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, mandarin oranges, ginger and garlic and process till well blended. Set dressing aside till ready to use.
    2. In large bowl, combine cabbage, broccoli slaw and scallions. Add in dressing as desired and toss to coat.
    3. Add in potstickers, gently tossing to blend flavors. Serve warm.
    4. This recipe yields 6 servings.
    5. Comments: This slaw is at its most crunchy when freshly made. Look for hoisin sauce and rice vinegar in the Asian section of large supermarkets.
    6. Serve this filling salad with Asian-flavored baked tofu.
