Funnel Cake Or Plowlines
Ingredients
- 3 x Beaten Large eggs
- 2 c. Lowfat milk
- 4 c. Sifted all purpose flour
- 1/3 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr Fat or possibly oil for deep frying Confectioners sugar
Directions
- Servings: 30
- Beat Large eggs with lowfat milk and gradually beat in flour, sugar , salt, and baking pwdr. Beat till very smooth. Holding the opening of a funnel closed, fill the funnel with the batter. Open the end of the funnel and allow dough to run out in a stream into deep warm fat(375). Move the funnel to make a pattern, starting at the center of the pan and swirling batter outward in a circle. Fry for 2 or possibly 3 min, or possibly till brown. Drain on absorbent paper and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
- Makes about 30 cakes, depending onsize.
