Fromage Blanc Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 250 ml Lowfat milk, (10fl ounce)
- 5 x Egg yolks
- 250 gm Caster sugar, (9oz)
- 500 gm Fromage frais, (1/2 kg)
- 125 gm Mascarpone cheese, (4oz) Vanilla, optional
Directions
- Heat the lowfat milk. Whisk together the sugar and egg yolks, add in the lowfat milk and return to a rinsed out pan. Bring up the temperature till the custard thickens, then strain and cold it. Blend in the cheeses and freeze in a sorbetiere.
