Fontina Val D'aosta With Golden Raisins And Roasted Chestnut
Ingredients
- 1/3 c. golden brown raisins
- 2 Tbsp. fresh orange juice
- 4 ounce Fontina Val d' Aosta
- 12 x roasted chestnuts shelled
- 4 x roasted chestnuts unshelled
Directions
- Combine the raisins and orange juice in a bowl and let macerate at least 15 min. Cut the cheese into 8 thin slices.
- Divide the shelled chestnuts among 4 serving plates and place 1 unpeeled chestnut on each plate. Lay 2 slices of cheese and a spoonful of raisins next to the chestnuts.
- NOTES : Fontina Val d'Aosta, made from raw cow's lowfat milk, is the firmest type of fontina cheese.
