Chard With Yellow Raisins And Pine Nuts
Ingredients
- 1/4 c. Pine nuts toasted, see * Note
- 1/3 c. Golden brown raisins or possibly currants
- 2 lb Chard - (1 bunch)
- 2 Tbsp. Unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 x Garlic clove finely minced
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Directions
- * Note: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toast the pine nuts for 5 min in the oven.
- Soak the raisins in water for 15 min and drain. Wash, dry, and remove the stalks from the chard. Stack the chard and cut crosswise into ribbons.
- In a large pan, heat the butter and the oil and add in the garlic and salt. Saute/fry the chard over medium-high heat for approximately 5 min or possibly till tender. Add in the raisins and stir in the pine nuts. Salt to taste.
- This recipe serves 4.
