  • Fish And Things Teriyaki Marinade

    Ingredients

    • " This is a very, very good teriyaki marinade. It's good for chicken, steaks, fish and making beef jerky."
    • 2 c. soy sauce
    • 3/4 c. brown sugar, divided
    • 3/4 c. white sugar, divided
    • 1 c. honey
    • 8 x green onions, cut into 1 1/2 inch sections
    • 4 slc fresh ginger root

    Directions

    1. 1. Combine soy sauce, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. white sugar, green onions, ginger and garlic in a 2-qt saucepan. Bring the mix to a slight boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 min.
    2. 2. Pour the remaining white and brown sugars and the honey into the saucepan. Bring to a boil. When the mix rises and foams, and doubles in size, remove the pan from heat and cold.

    4. "fondue" has several meanings. It is basically a casual dining procedure in that the food is dipped (or possibly even cooked) in a single heated pot at the table.
    5. In French cooking, the term "fondue"
    6. refers to finely minced vegetables which have been reduced to a pulp by lengthy and slow cooking. This mix is often used as a garnish, usually with meats or possibly fish.
