A nice and simple dish made easily but tasted great.

    Ingredients

    • For The Sauce:
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 thumb size ginger, julienned
    • 1/2 cup vinegar
    • 2 cups water
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
    • 2 tablespoons oil for sautéing
    • Vegetables Toppings
    • 1 piece big red or green pepper, sliced in strips
    • 1 carrot , julienned
    • 1 medium onion, sliced

    Directions

    1. Rub the fish with salt and pepper.\
    2. Heat up enough amount of oil in a pan and fry the fish until golden brown. Set aside.
    3. On a separate deep pan, sauté garlic and ginger.
    4. Add vinegar, water, sugar, and soy sauce. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
    5. Add shredded papaya. Cover the pan and simmer for 3 minutes or until papaya is cooked.
    6. Add bell pepper, carrot, and onion. Continue cooking for at least one minute.
    7. To thicken the sauce, make slurry by mixing 2 tablespoons flour and 2 tablespoons water.
    8. Pour the slurry on the pan, slowly stir until sauce thickens.
    9. Get the fried fish, top in on the vegetables, cover the pan and continue to simmer for another 1 minute.
    10. Serve.
