Elaine’s Chicken Cordon Bleu
I say '1' on the serving because you can make as many of these as you desire. Delicious, this recipe makes a great meal combined with a hearty veggie salad, and crusty rolls! Prep:20m Cook:35m Servings:1 Ingredients
- 1 chicken breast
- 1 slice black forest ham, or several slices shaved
- Gruyere cheese
- 1 ounce dry red wine
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt and pepper
- dried parsley
Directions
- 1. Skin the chicken breast
- 2. Cut it lengthwise, almost in half...
- 3. insert the ham and Gruyere cheese
- 4. salt and pepper before closing
- 5. Secure with toothpicks
- 6. place into a baking dish
- 7. bake at 350*F until tender and lightly browned
- 8. The Sauce:
- 9. melt some additional Gruyere cheese with butter, parsley (your preferred amount) and dry red wine
- 10. For each additional two breasts you prepare, add 1 tbsp butter, i ounce of Gruyere, and one ounce wine
- 11. ENJOY!
